Computer diagnostic show part 7003 malfunction. My mechanic has change the solenoid that prevented the 3 and 4 gear from shifting. Now it can shift perfectly but after some short driving, the indicator blink 'D" again. He used the computer to delete it and it come back up again after some 30 km -40 km drive. He now thinks the computer board could be faulty.
What really is the problem that caused it to reoccur after the oart has been changed and AT all replaced?
Thank you

Hello thanks for using 2CarPros. What is the exact code that is coming up? Not part number. This can be a sensor issue, ie speed sensor, transmission pressure switch.

7003 was the code number. My mechanic has fixed that. The computer was connected to read the fault in the engine. After all done, the car was able to engage gear 3 and 4 perfectly but the flashing D appears again next day.
Then yesterday we stick it to the computer again, this time to read the transmission for faulty code. The code appeared is 26-03 third pressure switch failure.
My question to you is:
1. Do I need to bother with this flashing D indicators?
2. Is the 26-03 3rd pressure switch on the inside of gear box (ie concealed ) or expose.
Thank you very much.

Hello, is this the same code that had originally been pulled from the computer? The code for the third clutch pressure switch is P0845. An OBD 2 scan tool should be used do you can identify the correct code. Most auto parts stores will scan the computer for free, but here's instructions so you can do it yourself if you desire: https://www.2carpros.com/articles/checking-a-service-engine-soon-or-check-engine-light-on-or-flashing
