My engine light came on and the van was Idling rough code for multiple misfires. got a new coil.. then next day light came back on for cylinder 1 misfire, only rough when first starts and drives fine. what would cause this? Have cleared the code 2 times now and still has this issue and same code? What can I do to fix? had a full tune up last year. The van only has 84,368 miles on it.

Good morning,

I attached a guide for you for misfires.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/engine-misfires-or-runs-rough

I would start with the set of plugs. 84,000 on the plugs is about the life of them.

While you are doing that, I would check the compression to be sure there is nothing wrong with the cylinder.

The last thing I would check is the fuel pressure. Low fuel pressure will cause misfire codes.

Fuel Pressure .................... 400 kPa ± 34 kPa (58 psi ± 5 psi)
