The car will move forward and reverse but will not get any speed seems to be stuck in low and yes I no there is no low. Just wanting to know if it is worth a bit of time to fix it for my wife's winter car. Saturntec9 is very knowledgeable it seems on these cars. Do not know a lot of its history was given to me. Thanks for any help.

Is the reduced performance light coming on while driving? Have you scanned it for codes yet? Let me get you a guide on how to read the codes.

Also, those transmissions were not good to begin with sometimes you get lucky and its something besides the transmission. Like input and output sensors. But most of the time it is bad news. Lets start by answering the questions I asked and what codes if any you have.
