If my CV shaft were improperly installed, could it cause my drive chain to slip?

If you have a CV axle that is not properly installed, it could cause issues, but shouldn't cause other issues.

If the joint is not fully installed, you would likely hear a loud clicking of the splines slipping. It also would provide a very rough acceleration.

I attached the installation procedures below if you want to check things. If it is making noise, record it and upload it for me to hear. Also, try this. Find a steep incline. Stop the vehicle and place it in park. Does having it in park prevent it from moving?

Let me know.
