CV joints, bad vibration at fifty five mph.

CV joints do not usually vibrate at fifty five mph, they make a knocking noise when bad going slow forward and/or backwards turning right and/or left.
If you have a vibration at fifty five mph, that sounds like something out of balance.
I believe the 1/2 shafts do have balance weights on them, see if one flew off, there will be a clean spot where it was.
