My cv joint gaiter has split, not completely in two but definitely split as grease has come out, is it safe to drive 60-70 miles because I've got to compute before its booked in to have a new gaiter fitted?
Cheers Pete

Go ahead and drive it. Some people wait thousands of miles without causing damage, but it depends on how long it has been split and how badly it's flinging the grease out. The boots are designed to squeeze the grease back into the joints and to keep water and dirt out. I wouldn't wait any longer than necessary to have the boot replaced but you aren't going to cause instant damage.
