I replaced both front CV axles and my speedometer does not work. Transmission shift through all gears. I did have to reseat the driver's side axle. First attempt wheels did not move.

You may have bumped the VSS and disconnected the wiring connector when doing the job, here is the location so you can check it out in the images below. The sensor is near the drivers side axle. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Text states the VSS is near the passenger side axle, but the diagram, red arrow, points to the output speed sensor on the driver side. I need clarification.

I replaced both Inner and Outer speed sensors. The cable and connectors look fine. Still no speed on the speedometer. Can you provide a diagram that shows the signal paths for the whole VSS system?

Sure, here are the wiring diagrams for the VSS or output speed sensor as it is referred to in the wiring diagrams. Can we read the codes to see what comes up?

I hooked up my code reader, no fault codes listed. I did run other diagnostic tests that indicated RPM's. I went on a test drive, highway speed, cruise control worked and then the speedometer started working. Should I get the speedometer recalibrated? Thanks for your support. I will be working on my 2010 Ford Fusion next. Hopefully things go smoother.

I would just let the system relearn itself, you could have had a procedural error that is working itself out. If it happens again remove the battery cable overnight.
