CV axle installation issue

Replacing passenger side CV shaft. The shaft will not go in far enough to allow snapping to engage looking in the hole there seems to be a bar keeping the axle from going in. I have the snap opening facing down, still, it will not advance. I had no problems with the driver's side.

Hi,

To install it will require a hammer and screwdriver and basically tapping it in. When you do this, make sure the splines are aligned and turn the axle 180 degrees back and forth to get it seated. Additionally, make sure to lubricate the splines with ATF before installing.

As Joe said, some of them require a bit of persuasion to get the snap ring seated.
