Cv axle making clicking noise?

Hi,

Chances are the joint itself is worn. Do me a favor. Take a look through this link and let me know if it mirrors what you are experiencing:

Note: If you are turning the axle back and forth and hear a sound from the inner side attached to the transaxle, that is likely normal. It is how the gears are meshing.

That's no good, the CV axle should make no noises so it should be replaced, I would do both of them. Here is a guide to help walk you through the steps with instructions for your car in the images below.
