Astra 1.4 exclusive, cut out going down hill. Been into garage, said something to do with bacteria in tank, petrol like sludge. Had it cleaned etc, oil changed, spark plugs changed.
Car stalled, loss of power, going around a roundabout, car started again, but cut out when idling.

Sometimes shops will empty a tank by using the fuel pump to purge the tank of fuel, but there will still be a couple of liters still in the tank due to the baffles and overall shape of the tank that can hold extra fuel. The proper way is to remove the tank and flush it by hand until all petrol is gone and the tank is visibly clean, otherwise it doesn't take much bad petrol to ruin your day!
