Cruise control not engaging?

When I press the set button on the steering wheel the speed control light illuminates on the dash, but no speed control. When I press the brake petal or hit off on the steering wheel the dash light turns off. Brake lights work. What should I check? Sneaky suspicion bad servo.

These trucks don't have a servo so you are safe there. What happens is the increase or decrease speed controls in the steering wheel stop working. This is due to the clock spring connection failure which is internal. Here is what the part looks like that you need to replace. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
