When replacing the cruise control module with a used unit does it need to be programmed?

Does a used cruise control module need to be reprogrammed to your VIN like an ECM?

No, it is not an active control module on that car that needs programming. The only things it gets from the ECM are the switch inputs for the neutral switch and the speed input from a wheel sensor.
