Local Ford dealer has replaced two switches without resolving the issue. Now say the PCM needs replacement as well. Wouldn't I notice other engine issues, if the PCM needed replacement, and does it seem logical that all of this replacement is necessary. I should add that the dealer had to consult with Ford after replacement of the switches.

Welcome to 2CaroPros.

If could be several things that would cause it not to work. Does it light up to indicated it is turned on? Also, which switches were replaced? Next, do you know what the diagnostic trouble codes were retrieved when the initial testing was done?

There are switches, servo, even a faulty brake light switch can cause it to fail or an ABS module. Let me know what information you have and I'll try to help. As far as the testing, in most cases, everything can be tested. If the PCM is the issue, yes, it too could have been checked.

Let me know what info you have.

Take care,
Joe
