So, I did one of my crossmember already by gas tank and a huge problem grinding out the tube holes where new crossmember goes. The person who helped me after we where done sent me over a tool you can buy that is round and has edges at end to stick in the tube holes and grind out all the metal and I am pretty sure it was made for Chevy trucks. Since then, he has passed away and I can’t find exactly what it was called or where to get from. Does any know what I am talking about?

I am sorry to hear about your friend, can you please upload an image of the tool in question? Here are the crossmember supports for the mid and front frame and how to replace them. Check out the images (below). Please upload pictures or videos in your response to the problem so we can see what's going on.

No, I don’t have a picture of it, but it looks just like what you use to cut out circles in wood, but it’s made of metal. And like I said I am pretty sure it was made for Chevy, and it’s made to grind out old metal from crossmember that goes in circular part on frame. Idk might just have to do with regular grinder if no one knows what I am talking about.
