Removal Procedure

1. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (See: Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley > Removal and Replacement).
2. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (3) from the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

3. Remove the CKP sensor shield.

4. Remove the CKP sensor studs and sensor.
Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (See: Vehicle > Vehicle Damage Warnings > Fastener Notice).
1. Install the CKP sensor and studs.
Tighten the studs to 20 N.m (15 lb ft) plus an additional 40 degrees usingJ 45059.

2. Install the CKP sensor shield.

3. Connect the engine harness electrical connector (3) to the CKP sensor.
4. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement (See: Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley > Removal and Replacement).
