To line the dot up with the T the carter key is pointing straight down, in your comment it said carter key should be pointing straight up? How many revolutions of the spline crank constitutes an compression and exhaust stroke? Am I in time with the carter key down and the dot on the T (TDC)? Thanks man, this is brutal!

I'm not sure what you have previously done here,so I'm sending you the installation portion of the timing belt removal and installation instructions from the vehicle manufacturer for your vehicle. Please go through this guide and get back to us with how everything turns out.

This guide will help as well
