Do I have to drop the A/C motor to get to the crankshaft position sensor?

Do I have to drop the A/C motor to get to the crankshaft position sensor on this year Mustang? Haynes manual doesn't mention it, but forums do. Also do I access it from under the car?

No, you do not need to remove the A/C compressor because it is on the opposite side of the engine. Here is the location of the crankshaft position sensor and the A/C compressor so you can see for yourself. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.
