Engine hard to start, rough idle then ran smoother after shift to second gear. Slowing to stoplight, brake pedal shudder, erratic return to idle. Full stop acceleration hesitates then kicks smooths out again. Next day seem to return to near normal performance except the brake shutter, a week later the check engine light on solid. Autozone was half a mile away, OBD test crankshaft position sensor code electrical malfunction. Replaced twice already, replaced second one February, dropped off at shop I use, told them it was the crankshaft position sensor. Called me said an L1 ASE mechanic will be scheduled to diagnosis it. Next day check engine light was off, my best friend called panicked, his computer crashed, internet addict, lol. Decided to risk five mile drive.

Hi MASTERCRAFTED,

So what was the verdict on the trouble code? If the initial diagnosis had been correct and you still have the same code after replacing the parts, the problem could be with the wiring circuit or PCM. You should give those a check. For wiring fault the continuity between the PCM and sensor has to be tested. Sometimes continuity could be present but the ohms could be high indicating a poor connection in between.
You would need a DVOM and some wires to perform the testing. If you are ready for this, I can guide through.
