I have been having a problem with my car when it is stopped at a red light while running. When I am stopped, the car will idle roughly and will jerk back and forth. I have replaced the camshaft position sensor because I thought this was the problem at first. I just put the new camshaft position sensor in and now when I am in park and put car in reverse, the car idles and turns off. Did this twice. Could this be due to a bad/failing crankshaft positioning sensor? Or something else?

What other things have you checked? Have you changed the air filter and fuel filter? They can cause rough/erratic idle if they get clogged. What made you think it could be the cam position sensor? Any codes?

Being that all of those codes are cam and crank sensor related, I think that you probably need the timing chain itself replaced. From my research, this combination of codes generally points to the chain being worn out.
