I had got the car slightly overheated, and it shut off and has never started again. I put a code reader on it and it gave me this P0112 intake air Temperature sensor. I've been told that this could be the reason why it won't start. Is this true, can this sensor be bad and not allowing it to start??? Also, the sensor I just described above. Is it this sensor (Ambient Temperature sensor) because it's all I can find. Thanks.

Hello,

It is possible to have a no start due to a faulty IAT. On this vehicle the intake air temperature is built into the mass air flow sensor.

I have attached the diagnostic process for the code P0112. Follow these steps as it can help you determine the issue.

Also have you tried clearing the code and see if that allows you to start the engine?

I have attached diagrams below for your reference.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.
