Hi guys
Having a heck of a time with my E350 van. I'm not getting any spark and If I leave the battery hooked up its dead in a few hours. I've changed the voltage regulator, the ignition coil and even the ignition control module still nothing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello my name is Dave.

If you are sure you are not getting any spark the next thing I would do is make sure the coil is getting a trigger from the ignition module. If you take a test light and hook the ground clamp to the positive side of the battery and unplug the coil and touch the negative lead to the coil with the test light while someone turns the engine over the light should flash if it's getting signal. The other thing to make sure of is that there is voltage to the coil, to do so just use the test light in the normal way by hooking the clamp to a good ground and touch it to the positive wire going to the coil. If you find that it fails the test for the signal to the coil (flashing when on the ground) then the most likely cause will be the pick up in the distributor. I hope this helps you track down the solution to your problem and if it doesn't please let us know.
