This is my father in laws car. He filled the tank yesterday. Drove it home around the block. And when he went to move it a few minutes later it cranks but won't start. I can hear the fuel pump run but it doesn't start. Being that it happened right after filling the tank in thinking bad fuel pump. I want the fuel pump test procedure and any other thoughts/things to check and so forth. TIA.

That is a good place to start, here is a video to help you with the testing, you can rent a gauge set at the auto part store for free, also how does the engine sounds while cranking? If you upload a short video of the engine cranking from under the hood I can tell you if it is on good shape or not.

Fuel pressure .................... 390 - 440 kPa (4.0 - 4.5 kg/sq.cm, 57 - 64 psi)

Also, I would go over this video which can help guide us to the source of the non starting issue.

Before actually getting the gauge I pulled the line off and simply turned the key on. It sprayed a good bit. I tinkered around. Then he handed me a different key and the same thing fired right up. Bad key. Problem solved. This is why I drive even older cars

Good call! So was the security light flashing? This would be a clue the key was not working correctly. Glad you could get it fixed, thanks for letting us know. Please use 2CarPros anytime we are here to help.
