I am trying to get the crank pulley off; do i need a holder tool? Also, what size is the bolt?

Hello,

If you're referring to the harmonic balancer pulley (highlighted in the diagram below), the vibration dampener bolt should be about 7/8" in size. Using an impact air ratchet is usually helpful in removing that bolt. You will also need a puller tool to remove the harmonic balancer, which you may be able to rent from your local automotive parts store.

These repair guides show what is involved in removing the harmonic balancer:

If there's anything else we can help with, please let us know.

Thanks, Wendy W.
