Crank no start check engine and gauge lights both on but no codes?

Grandfathers truck never had any issues all of a sudden crank no start check engine and check gauge lights both come on but no codes when i hook UL scanner. I'm pretty sure i hear fuel pump priming but nothing from Schrader valve on fuel rail. All interior accessories working, and have swapped relays /checked all fuses without luck.

If the fuel system does not have pressure this will be the problem, did you put fresh fuel in the gas tank? How long has the truck been sitting?
