Friend drove this car to my house (didn't have a check engine light). We pulled the intake off, etc in order to pull valve Covers and ultimately replace the valve cover gaskets. After putting it all back together, it's now a crank / no start. While spraying Throttle Bdy Clean into the Throttle Body, I can get it to wear it's chugging like it's gonna start, but then dies when I stop spraying. During the 5 sec bulb check on the dash I see the "service eng soon" lamp, but it goes out once the 5sec bulb check is completed. I used spark plug from cyl #1 to test spark from each of the 3 coil packs to ground, and looks like a good strong spark from each coil pack. I hear the fuel pump kick on for like 2 sec at key on. I have gas up to the fuel rail (from the fuel supply line). If I disconnect the return line near the regulator, I see some gas return through the fuel return line. I thought, "maybe I screwed something up with the CAM sensor, so I replaced the CAM sensor, but no change in symptoms. I connected an oscilloscope to Cylinder #1 injector connector and I get an electrical pulse--but I may not have my scope set correctly--so I can't confirm the pulse i'm getting is an accurate one? I pinched off the gas return line, and enough fuel pressure built up to squirt gas out of the gas supply line where the rubber hose meets the steel line (just before the fuel rail). Any ideas?
