Crank, no start

Car was taking a while to start (at least 10 seconds when cold, maybe 4 seconds when warm).

threw a code for the camshaft position sensor, so installed a new one. Now the car won't start at all. I tried swapping the old one back in, but it still cranks and won't start.

Funny thing is the code went away for the camshaft sensor, and two transmission related codes came up, a p0700, and another p07 something (can't remember) even though the car only cranked and did not turn over.

Could a crankshaft position sensor be the culprit, even though that code did not appear?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

It very much could be the crank sensor. I have see many times on GM products primarily that the error code is the cam sensor but the issue is the crank sensor.
The P0700 code typically means there are codes stored with related to transmission issues.

Look at these articles you might helpful:

I have also attached a diagnostic chart. That way you are not just replacing parts with no positive results.
let me know of any questions.

Thank you.
