Did plugs, wires, cap, rotor, belts, hoses oil change, fuel and air filters. Car running fine warming up in garage sounded like two misfires then shut off. No start. Have checked spark, fuel, no start pop spit. Spark at plugs, fuel at rail. Checked timing all looks well.

Hello,

You could have a problem with the air gap in between the rotor and the cap. In the diagrams down below I have included the instructions from the vehicle manufacturer on the inspection and diagnostic procedures for testing the air gap. Please go through this guide and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex

Hey Alex, thanks for reply. I am a 24 plus year retired GM mechanic. I do know the basic flow paths I was again going through them again the rotor new did not seem to fit well engine was running. But after going through the spark fuel air compression tests put old rotor on car runs perfect. I don't know Toyota's per say, but engines are just that all the same. New parts are not always right. Thanks for your time.
