It sounds like a fuel pressure related issue. At this point, try this. Remove the fuel cap and see if it stays running and will restart. Something could be preventing air from entering the tank as the fuel is drawn out by the pump.
Please note that removing the fuel cap can cause the check engine light to turn on and indicate a large evap leak.
If that does nothing, then I suggest checking fuel pressure. Here is a link that shows in general how it is done:
