Crank but no start

The truck used to run rough so I change the IPR it didn't fix it then a couple weeks later the truck just won't start, it just cranks and won't get any fuel. so I changed the IPR and the crankshaft positioning sensor. I changed the IDM, I change the electronic valve cover gaskets. after that the truck still didn't want to start, then about an hour later I try it and it starts but with my foot all the way to the floor and it slowly accelerates until it hits like 3,000 RPMs then it cleared up. the truck ran amazing I drove at 10 miles shut it off and the same thing; no start. no smoke out of the exhaust. it is getting fuel to the fuel bowl because I have the electric pump and it is getting the right pressure.

Let's do a couple checks first. When the engine cranks does the tach move? If not the cam sensor is the issue. I assume this is what you replaced when you say crank sensor. See below for the detail just to make sure.

Next we need to make sure the most basic thing is covered and that is battery voltage. I have seen this cause a no start on these engines many times.

However, if both of those check out, I suspect we have an issue with the ICP, injector pressure control. Unplug it and let the truck idle. Do not drive it, but does it start and run smooth with this unplugged? If so the sensor is the issue.

Yes, whenever I crank it the tachometer moves and yes sir I did replace the CPS. I also replace the IPR and ICP. my way to start works but my check engine light stays on when cranking and the batteries are brand new less than a month old.

When you say, your way to start it works, what way is that? What do you have to do to get it started and does it run until you shut it off as you described before?

The wait to start light for the glow plugs the truck doesn't start at all just cranks. the last time it did start my foot was to the floor and RPMs accelerated slowly.

Okay. So if all you did was press the accelerator down and the engine started then all you did was introduce more air which evened out the air fuel ratio.

At this point, I am thinking you have an air restriction or an over fueling condition. This could be caused by leaking fuel injectors.

Can you floor the accelerator now and get it to start?

No sir, I don't think you understand anything I told you. by the way the trucks fix now, it was the low pressure oil pump.

The truck never started by just pushing a pedal to the ground. I'm saying the one time it did start I push the pedal to the ground and RPMs rose slowly.
