I'm trying to remove the multi way control valve and after removal of visible bolts I still can't seem to wiggle it free of the thermostat housing. What am I missing? video attempted to show freed multi way valve not separating from either the thermostat housing or at the connection beyond that.

Thanks for the video, it helps. You need to remove each of the hoses from the rear of the valve before it can be removed. Here is an exploded view and the instructions on how to do the job in the images below. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Great help! The removal of the hoses revealed another bolt tucked behind the hose. Got the mwc valve separated from the machine valve housing. Now how can I tell if the multi-way valve is functioning properly? Is there an exploded view or can you explain how this is supposed to function? It looks to have a spring and a possible thermostat that fell out upon removal. Is there possibly supposed to be a plastic piece that holds that and keeps it from falling out?

Thanks for the images, yep you have found the problem. It looks like the thermostat has fallen apart. It looks like you might need to get the entire part, it does not show the thermostat being serviced separately.

Here is the part number and cost:

Thermostat Housing 11061EZ30A $173.95

Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Thank you for helping me through this job. I was extremely nervous having to strip my 2017 engine down so much just to change the thermostat. Job is done and thankfully no extra bolts or missing parts .
