Cooling System?

Hello good morning, sir,

The vehicle recovery tank always gets filled up whenever the engine is running, and it won't return into the radiator whenever the vehicle is cooled. When I checked the engine there was no thermostat, could it be the cause of the problem?

Hi,

The thermostat should be replaced, but I don't see how that would cause this. But anything is possible.

First, replace the thermostat to see if that changes the issue. I don't feel it will, but it may. If that doesn't help, have you checked for a head gasket-related issue? Does the system pressurize?
