Truck started running to the 3/4 line before the fan kicked on, then would fluctuate. I have a new radiator a new thermostat a new water pump and new intake manifold gaskets, but fan still waits until almost hot before engaging. Also, hooked up diagnostic code reader and now have several codes and my brakes are tight all of a sudden.

Hi,

Regarding the issues with the coolant temperature, have you checked with a live data scan tool if the ect is providing the correct signal to the PCM? Have you checked the fan relay for proper operation?

Also, could you provide me with the new codes that you found?

I attached the wiring schematic below, so you have it as a reference.

Let me know.

Joe

Hi,

I attached the torque specs below for you. Note that they indicate first tightening the bolt to 30-foot pounds and then the bolt will need to be tightened an additional 105 degrees.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

Joe

See pic below. Note: The highlighted numbers are foot pounds and the other nonhighlighted number is Nm.
