Overheats and blows out the overflow on the reservoir

Okay, I replaced the water pump and thermostat. It still overheats and blows out the overflow on the reservoir and it looks like exhaust or something like it is coming from the radiator reservoir as well. I don't know why.

Good evening,

Sounds like you have a blown head gasket from the overheating.

You need to have a leak down test done to perform. That is when they remove the spark plugs and insert shop air into each cylinder one at a time and look for movement in the cooling system.

Okay, I'm going to replace the head gaskets on my 1996 3.5 24 valve 6 cylinder . any advice is greatly needed.

Okay, do you have engine repair experience? This is a very involved repair.

The heads will have to be sent to a machine shop and pressure tested as well as check to see if they are warped.

You will need a headset with new head bolts.

You will need a timing belt kit, complete with the water pump.

Is this something you can handle?
