My cooling fan is running slow. It is fast enough to cool down the motor but is not enough to cool down the AC radiator. I connected the fan directly to 12 volts and work fine. Checked the relay also and is working.

Any idea?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

When you connected it direct to the battery, did you provide both power from the battery plus a ground? Often times, a weak ground can cause resistance and lower the power supply.

Let me know if that is what you did. If it is, provide a new ground for the fan. If it is not, check the wiring for resistance issues, bad connections.

Here is a link that discusses how to check wiring:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
