I am troubleshooting the cooling fan. As soon as you start the car up cold the fan comes on high and stays on high until the thermostat opens and it's up to temperature. Would this be a temperature sensor? And if so where is it located? Thanks.

Hello,

Your vehicle does this as a precautionary measure to keep the electric engine cooling fans from going on and off in an idle situation. They will not turn off even when the Power-train Control Module (PCM) or "computer" commands them "off" until the ignition key is turned to the "off" position or the vehicle speed exceeds 10 mph. I have included in the diagrams down below a factory description of how your vehicle's electric engine cooling fan circuit operates. If you should have any other vehicle related questions, please, feel free to ask. Answering them for you is why we are here.

Thanks,
Alex
