cooling fan

My cooling fan is not coming on, is it a relay? or is there a switch on dash to turn it on?........... it does not turn on even when temperature increases to 200 degrees. I was wondering if it could be thermostat or a relay?thank you.
Also where is the thermostat located?

we have no listing inour manuals for this truck. the thermostat shold be inline of top rad hose. but what size truck is it? if there is a realy it should be in the electrical center underhood. fuse as well.
