How to wire replacement coolant temperature sensor?

All the coolant temperature sensor connectors I can find for my car have two wires while the original only has one. Bought one with two wires and now I’m at a loss on how to wire the thing up. TIA

Hi,

Looking at a wiring schematic, it shows it to be a 2-wire sensor, one brown wire and one light green with a black tracer. See pic below.

Is the sensor you are replacing on the rear of the engine on the driver's side? Take a look at pic 2 below. It shows the location.

Let me know the wire color you are seeing.
