How many coolant temperature sensors and where are they located?

I need to know how many temperature sensors there are and where they are located. Also the temperature sending units for the radiator fans.

Hi,

There are three on the vehicle. One is for the gauge/fans and the other for the powertrain control module.

If you look at pic 1 below, I included the sensor A sensor. It is tied into the cooling fans. Pic 2 shows the other two.

I also attached the wiring schematic for the fan circuit. It was a page long. I had to cut it in half to make it readable for you. I did overlap them so you can follow from one to the next.

Hmmm. I will look at it in a day or two. I will also send some pictures of what I am looking at. The information is useful. Also I circled (1) It had a long brass rod. For (2) does it have a flat bottom to it?

If I recall, yes. If you are having a problem with overheating or the fans not turning on, pic 1 above is the one I suspect is the one to focus on.
