Where is the coolant temperature sensor located?

I can’t find where the coolant temperature sensor is located.

The car is overheating, and the fans aren’t kicking on, at least while idling. If we hit the gas while parked, the car will start to overheat, and the fans still don’t kick on. From what I’ve been reading it seems like it could be the temperature sensor and since it’s a cheap fix I thought I’d try it first. If someone could show me where it’s located that would be very helpful!

Yep, that is a good first step, here is the location of the coolant temperature sensor which is towards the rear of the engine. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.
