Coolant temperature sensor location

So I am currently working on this car, it is throwing a code for a engine coolant temperature sensor. I am wanting to replace it but want to make sure I have to right location. I have watched quite a few videos on it but I haven't seen any for this particular vehicle and year. I have a diagram I got through the AutoZone website but it doesn't specify where on the engine. I believe it is located on the "front" (looking from the front bumper to the back) just below the valve cover and just above the exhaust manifold. Is that correct? Or is it on the back near the firewall? Any help or tips would be extremely helpful Thanks.

Thank you Alex that was extremely helpful. We switched out the sensor but the light is still on we were going to go get it cleared. But if it comes back on I will have figure out what to do next. But I will keep up with updates thank you so much for all of your help.

Hello again,

If you do not have a scan tool to clear the Keep Alive Memory (KAM) on your vehicle's Power-train Control Module (PCM), then you can disconnect the negative battery cable from the terminal for at least five minutes, then connect it back up again. This will wipe the KAM clean. The disadvantage to doing this is it will not only wipe the Direct Trouble Code (DTC) out but all other learned values. But it will work. If you do have a code reader could you please read and give us the DTC number before clearing the code. Here is a link for you to go to on how to do this:

If not, you can go to a auto parts store, like AutoZone, and they will read the DTC for you for free. Please do this before erasing the code and get back to us with what it is. We will be able to help you from there.
