No heat in cabin. DIC says "Check Coolant Level". Recovery tank is full. How can I bypass the recovery tank and add coolant directly to the radiator or engine to prevent any overheating engine problem? How can I solve the problem?

I gather there is no radiator cap.

There is a radiator cap on the small recovery tank. There is no access to the radiator or the engine except through the recovery tank. The recovery tank has a sensor that controls when the coolant should flow from the recovery tank to the engine. The engine is low on coolant and the heater core is not getting any coolant. I need to add coolant to the engine/radiator in order to enable normal circulation. I would like to know which hose would be the proper way to accomplish that.

There is a coolant level sensor, but I do not know of a valve that controls coolant going from the tank to the engine or what the purpose of one would even be.

If it is not letting coolant into the engine it sounds like the purge line might be plugged. That is the small line that comes into the front of the surge tank. Pull it off, aim it at a bucket and see if you get coolant flow. You should get a light stream that increases if you raise the rpms. If you get no flow it is likely that the fitting on the other end of the hose is plugged.
