My fans to keep my engine from overheating are not turning on. I have changed both of the relays and also checked the fuse box. The relays are fine as well as the fuse box, but only one fan is still coming on. Not sure what the next step needs to be.

Hi,

What engine size is in the truck? Also, is this a half-ton truck? I went through two manuals and for both the 5.0L and 5.7L gas engines, there is only one electric auxiliary cooling fan. Could it be a diesel?

I attached the wiring schematic for the radiator cooling fan circuit below for each of the engines I mentioned, including the diesel non-turbo. They are all the same. See pics below.

Also, if you have a cooling fan motor that isn't working, have you tried jumping power from the battery directly to it to see if it runs?

Let me know.

Joe

See pics below. Note: I cut the schematic in two to make it more readable for you. I did overlap the two so you can follow from one to the next.
