Coolant leak

Coolant leak on the floor of my garage. Drove it about fifteen minutes before check engine light came on. Also, "engine is hot" and "car losing power" came on dashboard. Not smoking. Stopped car and had it towed to a shop. Three months ago, a shop said my car needed a fuel pump for $950.00. I did not have the money so I had the fuel filter cleaned. What is the problem with the car overheating and probable cost to fix? The garage called and said it was a heater hose assembly and would fix it for $245.00?

Hello,

That sounds expensive, you can double check what they are saying and do the job yourself and save a bunch. Get the part from Amazon too. Here are a couple of guides that will help you get the problem fixed.
