Coolant leakage

Hello,

That is definitely not good. Can you tell where the coolant is leaking from? If not then you will need to do a cooling system pressure test to see where the leak is before it can be fixed. I have included a link below for you to go to.

I saw coolant splashed on the firewall and it was leaking from underneath the car. The radiator, radiator hoses and thermostat were all dry.

I am planning to take it to a shop next Monday. but want a general idea of what it could be.

Okay, without a pressure test there is no way that I can tell where it is leaking from. I would check the weep hole on the underside of the water pump, loose hose clamps on upper/lower radiator hose and heater hoses. Where ever it is leaking there should be a washed spot with the amount of coolant you are talking about. If you plan on driving it to the shop, please make sure to take three or four gallons of water with you to keep water in it until you get there. Also, if you do start to overheat always have your engine on and running when adding water/coolant to the system, if not you run the risk of cracking your engine block without having the engine running to circulate the water. I have included an exploded view of your vehicle's cooling system in the diagrams down below for help identifying where the leak is. Please keep us informed.
