It keeps dripping and it took me forever to find the leak after I did a leak pressure test. There is a connector that connects to something plastic and black that goes inside the block. It has one bolt. I don't know what it's for. It has 3 wires. Can you find out anything under the intake that has to do with coolant? Maybe a temp sensor of sole type.

Hi,

I attached a pic of the coolant sensor below. Take a look and let me know if that is what you are seeing.

Also, if possible, take a couple of pictures of what you are seeing and upload them so I have a better idea of what it could be.

Let me know.

Joe

No, this is not it. This is easy to get to. The one I am talking about is difficult to see, no way to take pictures of and is attached to the block like I said and had one bolt. Its plastic with a black housing.

I attached a couple of pictures below. Do you see it in either of the pictures?

If you do, let me know which picture and which number identifies the part.

Hi,

If that is number 15 in pic 2 above, that is the crankshaft position sensor. No coolant is present at that point. Pic 2 is the intake side of the engine. Is the part that far forward? I ask because number 3 in the same picture is the coolant temperature sensor. That would make more sense to me.

Let me know.

No, not the crank sensor for sure. It's located far behind the engine mount and the shape of it is exactly like one in the picture, one of your pictures shows the crank sensor as number one then the sensor am talking about also as #1 when they are different. I know it's not #3 because I know how that sensor looks, and it's located to the left of all the hoses underneath, it has the sensor with a clip. I have seen them before. Second picture shows the crank sensor with a bolt not the same as number 1 underneath it which is a connector and has a bolt.

Hi,

I'm not sure what you are seeing. If you see the correct part in the second pic I attached above, here is a legend of all the parts identified on that pic.

Let me know if this helps.

Take care,

joe

It's worth mentioning that I have the aluminum intake not the plastic one. I am in process of removing the intake.

The water pump leaking, and fluid ran on top of the CPS made it look like it was leaking. Thanks

Yes, I already removed it, waiting on parts. As usual it's one thing after another with Audis.

LOL I'm selling my last one this Tuesday. When they are running right, there is nothing nicer to drive. But when they break. Well you already know. LOL

Take care and if possible, let me know how things turn out for you.
