Coolant leak

My antifreeze leaked all over my car and started smoking really badly turned out to be a hose that was not working properly so it was replaced. However, I drove it today and there is still leftover antifreeze that smokes when the car is warmed up again. How do I get it to stop smoking or do I need to wait until the leftover antifreeze is dry or do I clean it? I'm not sure it just want it to stop smoking.

Hello, I'm Danny.

Yes, nothing like the smell of burning coolant. Since coolant is designed to not evaporate like plain tap water any coolant in the engine area will stay around for quite awhile. I would suggest using a garden hose carefully and wash away any remaining coolant from the previous leak. The faster you remove the coolant the faster the smoke and smell will go away.
