Hi, I found my car out of coolant so I filled it up with one liter, after driving it I found it out of coolant again. I have filled it up again and pressed the hoses to help circulate the coolant. I have found that there is a large hose which connects to a plastic housing on the engine block which appears to have broke and is allowing coolant out. what is this plastic hose part called and how easy are they to replace?

HI and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Does the hose run back to the radiator? Based on your description, it sounds like a radiator hose which runs from the radiator to the thermostat housing on the engine. Take a look through this link and see if it helps.

Let me know if that helps or if you have other questions. If possible, can you upload a picture of the hose in question? It would help me identify it.

Take care,
Joe
