I have had a bad coolant leak that coincides with a huge spike in engine temperature. I can’t figure out exactly where it is coming from still. The coolant tank remains max line or a little above but the radiator is low. The coolant tends to puddle beneath the engine drain plug.

Hello,

It sounds like the leak might be in the radiator itself. You should be able to see where the coolant is leaking from. Look for a "washed" area where the leak would be. Check all the hoses and clamps, upper and lower radiator hoses, heater hoses, and the hose to the overflow tank. If you still can't find it then go to the link down below.

Please go through this guide, if necessary, and get back to us with what you are able to find out. We can go from there.

Thanks,
Alex
