My truck won't start due to a bad fuel pump, but does water circulate through the motor while trying to start my truck?

Hello,
The coolant will circulate anytime the water pump is turning. So will have some circulation during startup but it will be very low, the actual flow will happen after the engine has been started and the impeller of the water pump is spinning as the belt it is turning the water pump pulley.
