When putting convertible top down the trunk is stuck up. Is there a manual way to lower the trunk?

Hi,

To the best of my knowledge, there should be a manual way of doing it. However, I am not able to find anything related to it in the manuals. I remember on the older ones, there was a knob in the trunk which would operate it manually, but this doesn't seem to have that option.

Here is what I suggest trying. The vehicle should have the CAN system scanned for diagnostic trouble codes. CAN stands for controller area network. Basically, all the computers/modules are tied together via a few wires. By scanning the can, it should identify if the problem is related to a position sensor failure, module failure, and so on.

Here is a quick video showing how it is done:

If you can, have this done and let me know what codes are found.

Take care,

Joe
